Road Committee

BACKGROUND: Much of the roadway in the Lagunas area is public road and responsibility for maintaining it lies with the district administration in Quepos. However, their budget doesn't permit them to maintain the road at a standard expected by the growing population and traffic in the area.

As a result, the Lagunas Road Committee (a committee of Lagunas property owners) was formed to help to manage the maintenance of parts of the public road in the area.

The current committee has been in place since January, 2007 and consists of:

Larry Hartman,

Barbara Lowe,

Alexander Mesen,

Paul Roberts, President, and

Hugo Valverde

During the September 2007 Community Meeting, it was agreed to publish the names of those who have paid and not paid their road fees. Go HERE to see the lists.
